Intel wanted to make the 8th Gen launch feel like the biggest and most epic Intel generation in history, and needed it to instantly communicate the processor’s sensory benefits in one moment, around the world.

We created a striking visual ID and used it to launch on the first solar eclipse in decades, using the iconic shape to mirror the image of the solar eclipse that happened on launch day.

The “8” visual, morphing from the solar eclipse, was was beamed around the world via social media, digital ads on retailer.com and PR that day, creating a memorable launch message that seemed to come from the universe.

 

We chose an epic moment, the first solar eclipse in decades to create visual launch metaphor that seemed to come from the universe. Out message: This was big moment in processor technology.
